Michael Hall was born in Annapolis, Maryland in 1945. He received his B.A. degree from Emory University in 1968. After completing a term of service in the United States Navy as a Lieutenant, he graduated from the University of Georgia with a Masters in Accounting and a Juris Doctor degree in 1974. Mr. Hall practiced actively as a Certified Public Accountant until 1981. He continued to maintain his status as a Certified Public Accountant until recently while practicing law.
Mr. Hall has served as County Guardian and Probate Administrator in Dougherty County (since 1985), Lee County (since 2005), Quitman County (since 2015), and Mitchell County (since 2015).
He was President of the Albany Humane Society for five years, served as Vice-Chairman of the Albany Community Service Board for three years and served on the Board of Directors of Graceway Recovery Residence for four years.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Hall resides in Albany and is the father of six grown daughters and eight grandchildren (thus far).
